KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to provide thorough consultations to tailor a service to suit the client's needs

Welcoming customers and identifying their preferences
Experienced at cutting, hair colouring, such as highlights and balayage, creative colour and styling
Experience in advising clients on hair care, products and tools
Maintain salon cleanliness and safety standards.
Maintain a professional attitude toward clients and coworkers.
Washing, rinsing and drying clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners
Recommending hairstyles and haircuts according to customers’ face shapes and tastes
Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks
Manage bookings and serve walk-ins
Ensure the tidiness of stations and sterilise equipment
Cross-sell hair care products or services when appropriate
Maintaining an adequate inventory of hair products and tools

Skills required:

Hairdressing NVQ/SVQ Level 2 (required)
Previous salon experience essential
Good team player
Excellent interpersonal skills
Engaging personality
High standard of personal appearance
The ability to deliver a superior level of service
Computer literate
Self-motivated
Flexible
Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods
Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts suitable for all hair lengths and up-to-date with industry trends.
